About CJ

Welcome to my humble corner of the internet! I'm Courtney, the founder of CJ's Curio Corner. The nickname CJ was given to me by my dad when I was young, and is really only used by a select few people these days. This correlates well with everything that I'm offering - hidden gems of inner truth that not everyone is going to see at first glance (well, maybe except calligraphy since that's pretty straightforward!). 

CJ's Curio Corner is the culmination of various hobbies and talents I've acquired over the years. Calligraphy, Tarot, and Reiki were never pursued in an attempt to offer them all in one place, or even beyond my own practice and for the occasional family member or friend.

What started as a daily tarot reading for my own curiosity and search for answers in the uncertainty of life quickly became the most incredible tool for insight into the many unknowns of life. Similarly, Reiki was always a source of wonder and a practice that I pursued for my own personal practice. For anyone who was interested, I was more than happy to offer a tarot reading or send Reiki. 

As a current Registered Nurse and Biology major in college, I realize the hesitation to delve into these practices. And yet, I've gathered enough personal evidence over the years to support the undeniable (and still unexplainable) connectedness of everyone and everything beyond the cellular level. 

It's also with this background that I bring you the truth of these practices - I haven't joined any cults or clans or any other forest bathing in the full moonlight twice a month groups. Intuition is best strengthened during the most humbling times of life, and this is also often when people begin to search for answers in the unknown. Think of me as your strange friend that will also enjoy a margarita with you later! 

Things that come up during these sessions may not resonate with you, and that's ok. In fact, you may have taken one look at my website and decided it's absolutely not for you! It's important that you find someone that resonates with you personally, whether it's for Tarot and Reiki or a sign for your wedding. 

Calligraphy is going to keep us all grounded on this website, so let's also give that aspect a shout-out! I learned calligraphy in the lovely year of 2020 with The Happy Ever Crafter. Becca Courtice has created an incredible online space for learning calligraphy quickly and efficiently, and I'm proud to have this tool at my disposal.
